Description

This is a late 17th and early 18th century house, with a shop front dating to the early 19th century. The building is three storeys high and constructed of plum brick with some black headers. It has five sash windows, the central one blocked, and the two outer ones on the second floor also blocked. The eaves are moulded, and it has an old hipped slate roof. A wide, double-bowed shop front was built across the ground floor, featuring a central door and panelled pilasters. It has a shallow frieze and a continuous straight hood. Inside, there is a staircase. The lower flight is contemporary, but its balusters are characteristic of the early 18th century, though the balustrade is boarded in.
