Description

This is a row of cottages dating from the 17th century in Thames Ditton. The buildings are timber-framed with weatherboard cladding and plain tiled roofs. Rendered stacks are present to the left end, left of centre, and along the ridge. Number 61 projects slightly at the left end. The cottages are two storeys high, with a coved ground floor to numbers 63 to 67. There are nine casement windows on the first floor, and a projecting square bay window on the ground floor to the right. A half-glazed door is located on the left (at number 61), sheltered by a flat hood supported on brackets. To the left of centre is a 20th-century panelled door under a 19th-century open pediment/gable hood on brackets (at number 63). "Cleves Cottage" (number 65) has a 20th-century ribbed door to the right of centre, sheltered by a tiled pentice porch hood on brackets. Finally, a 19th-century boarded door is located at the right end (number 67), with a felt pentice roof porch hood on brackets.
