Description
This is a complex of burgage properties, likely dating to the 15th or 16th century, with remodelling in the 19th century and modernization in the 20th. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with a Cotswold stone roof. It is two storeys high, featuring five windows on the first floor with 20th-century casements. The ground floor has five windows and three doors arranged irregularly; number 4 contains a blocked doorway with an 18th-century segmental head and likely originally a segmental pediment. The roof is steeply pitched, with three rows of purlins visible on number 8. Irregular timbering is present in the west gable. The buildings are believed to have served as kitchens or stables for an inn.
