Description
This barn, located approximately 15 meters southeast of The Old Rectory, is likely from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with stone quoins and has a corrugated asbestos roof. The barn features three bays. On the north front, there is a pair of large boarded doors that are off-center to the right. To the left of these doors is a boarded-over window, and to the right is another boarded door, both with wooden lintels. The rear of the barn has a small window to the right, also with a wooden lintel, and boarded doors in the center and to the right, again with wooden lintels. Inside, the barn has tie-beam roof trusses with raking struts and stone cross walls. The main entrance has been widened in the mid to late 20th century, as indicated by the brick reveals and steel lintel. This building is included for its group value.
