Description

The Joynes Memorial is a chest tomb located about 11 meters southeast of the porch of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the early 18th century and commemorates Elizabeth Joynes, who died in 1827. The tomb is constructed of ashlar and features a moulded plinth and cornice, with stepped capping that culminates in a moulded ridge that is slightly reminiscent of a bale. It has raised side panels and oval end piers.
