Description
The entrance gates to the Manor House in Westwell are likely from the early 20th century. They consist of walls and gatepiers that form the entrance to the drive. The structure features 2-meter high rubble dry-stone walls that create reverse quadrants. There are three ashlar gatepiers: the left-hand one has a ball finial, while the other two are topped with sphinxes. The gates are made of oak and have ramped top rails. This entrance faces the pond on the green and is an important feature in the village.
