Description

The chest tomb and head and foot stones belong to the Fletcher family and are located approximately 8 meters north of the north transept of the Church of St. Nicholas. The chest tomb dates from around 1730 and is made of stone. It has a rectangular shape with two inscribed panels on each side, featuring carved strips of ribbon and flowers in the center, along with winged heads and additional flower carvings on the left and right. The east end displays a cartouche surrounded by a rococo scroll design, while the west end has a plain inscribed panel. The top slab is adorned with a cornice molding and features a bale top with shell-lined niches that have skulls at the ends. The ribs are present at the center and ends, with the center featuring a flaming urn finial, although the finials on the left and right are missing. The head and foot stone is dated 1678 and is also made of stone, displaying square inscribed framed panels with scroll tops. All inscriptions on the stones are worn.
