Description

This is a gate pier located about 30 meters west of The Old Rectory in Westwell. It is possibly from the early 18th century, but likely dates to the mid-19th century. The pier is made of ashlar stone and features a classical cornice and plinth, with a scroll-top hinge pilaster. It stands approximately 3 meters tall and is one of a pair, with the southern pier also noted in the register.
