Description
This is a barn located approximately 10 metres south of the School House, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of rubblestone and has a thatched roof, featuring three bays and quoins. The central cart entry has quoined jambs and a replacement double door that does not reach full height. At the rear, there is a central opening with 20th-century glazing and an inserted opening on the left side. The left return has triangular vents and a bird-hole, along with some putlog holes and the roofline of a former attached outbuilding. The right return includes a corrugated iron lean-to, which is not of special interest, and a triangular bird-hole in the gable. Inside, the barn has collared tie-beam trusses, two tiers of through purlins, and old rafters.
