Description

The stable block, now used as a garage and stores, is located approximately 20 meters north of Langford House and dates from around 1820, with some minor later alterations. It is constructed from roughly coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features stone slate roofs that have coped verges and kneelers. The building is two storeys high and has five gables on the front (yard) side, with the center gable slightly recessed.

The upper level has narrow segmental-headed windows with gothic Y-tracery and moulded cills, with the window in the center gable being slightly lower. The two left gables contain wide double doors with wooden lintels, while the center gable has an infilled segmental-headed archway with a 20th-century door. The two right gables feature 19th-century windows with cambered heads, and the left gable also has a plank door under a cambered head.

The center gable is notable for having a clock below twin segmental-headed bell openings, with a blind quatrefoil above it in the pedimented gable. There are integral end stacks on the two left gables and a ridge stack immediately to the left of the center gable, all adorned with dripstones and moulded capping.

To the left, there is a continuation of the main range that includes a boarded door with a rectangular barred overlight on the far left, while the continuation to the right features two segmental-headed center-hung casements and a segmental-headed boarded door on the left. An attached lower range, which was formerly grooms' accommodation, has an integral end stack and a two-light mullion window with a dripstone lighting the gable end of the attic.
