Barn About 45 Metres West Of Holwell Downs Farmhouse (Not Included)

This is a late 18th-century Cotswold barn located about 45 meters west of Holwell Downs Farmhouse, which is not included in the listing. The barn is constructed of rubble and features a Cotswold stone roof, with a coped verge on the left side, although the right side has no verge due to the removal of a wing. The barn has a projecting gabled midstrey with a catslide roof on the right side only, and there is a later extension that runs at right angles to the rear. To the left of the barn, there is a stable with an irregular arrangement of doors and windows, as well as a loft entry above. Inside, the barn consists of two to four bays and has a tie beam roof structure with plank tenons supporting the purlins, arranged in two rows.
