Description

This gatepier, likely built in the early to mid-18th century, is made of limestone ashlar. It has a rectangular shape with a chamfered plinth and moulded modillions beneath a moulded capping. The capping features a gadrooned base that supports a ball finial, which has a moulded band at its center. This gatepier is one of a pair that marked the former east entrance to Sarsden House.
