Description
The entrance gate, gatepiers, and wall located approximately 5 meters east-southeast of The Lodge at Rousham Park date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from limestone ashlar and feature a short stone-coped limestone rubble wall that is terminated by piers. Each pier has a moulded plinth, cornice, and a ball finial. A later 19th-century wrought-iron gate is included in the design. This structure is noted for its group value, as Rousham Park is listed in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade I.
