Description
The bridge at the southwest end of the lake, approximately 300 meters south of Sarsden House, was built around 1796 by Humphry Repton for John Langston. It is constructed of limestone ashlar with boulder facing on the north side and above the arch on the south side. The bridge features a single segmental arch. Humphry Repton, who designed the lake that the bridge spans, provided a Red Book detailing improvements to Sarsden, including the creation of the lake, to John Langston in March 1796.
