Description

The Old House is a former shop and dwelling, dating to the early 19th century. It is now used as a house. The building is constructed of colourwashed render, with a stone slate roof and brick chimneys topped with cogged caps. It has a side passage. The two-storey, two-bay facade has large shop windows on the ground floor, each with five panes of glass divided by narrow glazing bars. The first floor has boxed three-pane sash windows set within moulded architrave frames. A 20th-century door is centrally located, sheltered by a flat hood supported on shaped wooden brackets. A 20th-century wrought iron gate provides access to the side passage.
