Description
The Lodge, a former cottage, dates back to the 17th century and has been altered and restored. It is constructed of rubble with a Cotswold stone roof and features a rubble chimney on the east gable. The building is one storey high with a roof-lit attic. There is a blocked door on the west gable, while the north side has a ledged door and small flanking windows, all with timber lintels. The interior is said to retain a newel stair. The Lodge is connected by a dry-stone wall to gate-piers that feature a taller rubble gateway, which includes a lintel inscribed with the words "caret invidenda sobrius aula."
