Description
Eastfield Farm barn, located approximately 20 meters east of Hilltop Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It features weatherboarding over a timber frame set on a limestone rubble base, with a random limestone rubble wall on the left side. The barn has a 20th-century tile roof and an aisled five-bay plan that includes a central threshing floor. There are gabled porches with 20th-century plank doors. The roof is hipped to the right and half hipped to the left. Inside, the barn has a five-bay queen-strut roof with arch braces connecting jowled posts to the wall plate and tie beam, along with butt purlins and windbraces.
