Description
30 London Street is a later 17th century house constructed from rubble stone and has undergone alterations. The building is two stories high with a steep plain tile roof and features a central ridgestack set on a stone base. It has a two-window range with casements on the first floor. The ground floor includes a small 16-pane sash window, a modern window, and a door. On the west side, there is a rear stair gable that is roughcast. Attached to the house is a two-story brick wing with a stone tiled roof and leaded light iron casements, as well as a brick and rubble stone stable beyond. Inside, some timber-framing is exposed at the rear of the first floor, and there are two plank doors in the attic. In the rear wing, the inscription S.0.1792 is found on a brick above the fireplace. Additionally, there is a painted brick two-story 19th century range facing London Street. The building was formerly known as The Star Public House.
