Description

This is a late 18th-century barn with an attached stable, located approximately 30 metres west of the farmhouse at Pusey Home Farm. The barn is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a stone slate roof. It follows a 5-bay plan, incorporating a central threshing floor. A double opening provides access to the threshing floor, while splayed ventilation slits are visible on the left-hand side. A concrete lintel sits above a 20th-century casement window on the right. The roof is half-hipped.

Inside, the barn features a 5-bay collar truss roof with side struts and butt purlins. To the right of the barn is a stable block, built using matching materials. This includes flat stone arches above two plank doors and two 20th-century casement windows, and a 5-bay roof with post and pad trusses. A smaller, attached stable is situated to the front right, distinguished by its gabled roof, a stable door, an adjoining 20th-century window, and a 2-bay collar truss roof with side struts and butt purlins. The building is included in the listing primarily for its group value, as part of a wider composition with the farmhouse and enclosing farmyard.
