Description
Dove Lodge is a former lodge to Faringdon House, built around 1840. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and is one storey high, topped with a stone tiled roof and a central chimney featuring four grouped octagonal stone shafts. The gable end has a three-sided stone splayed bay window with a stone tiled roof. The south front has a three-window range and includes a large picturesque timber gabled porch with ornamental barge-boards and twisted wood columns, along with a Tudor arched doorway. There are two-light stone mullioned windows on either side of the porch. The north wing is a lower plain stone structure.
