Description
Coxwell House, located in Little Coxwell, was built in 1760, with a northeast addition added in 1860, as noted on a datestone, and a further extension from the 1920s. The house features squared rubble stone and brick dressings, topped with a hipped stone tiled roof and side brick stacks. The principal southwest front has two storeys and three bays, with the center bay slightly projecting and topped by a small pediment that includes a blind semi-circular lunette. The central door is set in an arched opening with a radiating fanlight above it. The outer windows are 8-pane sashes. The 1860 addition includes a canted bay and two dormers on its northwest facade. The garden wall has plain gate piers linked by fine cast iron gates from around 1850, although these are not considered of special interest.
