Description
Salter's Cafe, also known as Abingdon Bridge Restaurant, is an early 19th-century building with a stucco-rendered front that is part of an 18th-century house. It features a mansard roof that is half-hipped towards the road and has an irregular rear elevation. The front facing the bridge is three storeys high, with one modern window on each storey, each having a flat arch and a tile cill. The entrance includes a carved wood "Tudor" door with a small wood hood above it. The ground floor window is set in recessed reveals, and there is a rusticated quoin to the left. A modern brick section connects it to The Nag's Head pub. Salter's Cafe, The Nag's Head, and Abingdon Bridge together form a group of buildings.
