Description

The Greyhound Public House is a public house, possibly originally two houses, dating from the early 18th century with later alterations. It features an uncoursed stone rubble plinth with brick dressings and is constructed of red brick with flared headers in Flemish bond, including some 20th-century brick patching. The roof is a 20th-century plain-tile hipped roof with various brick stacks at the rear. The building has two storeys and an attic, with an eight-window range.

There are double part-glazed doors to the right of the centre, framed by a 20th-century painted wood reeded surround and a pediment-gabled hood. To the left of the centre, there is a sash door also with a 20th-century painted wood reeded surround and a pediment-gabled hood. The ground floor features 12-pane horned sashes to the left and 12-pane unhorned sashes to the right, all with wood lintels, some having flat brick arches above. A flat brick band runs between the ground and first floors. The first floor has wood cross-windows, except for a blind panel to the right of the centre. There are two 20th-century skylights at the centre of the roof. The interior has not been inspected.
