Description

This pillar, located in Bull Croft Park approximately 35 meters northeast of The Cross Keys Public House, is likely from the late 18th century. It is made of stone and features a hexagonal plinth with wreathed oval panels on four sides, which show worn carvings and inscriptions. The shaft of the pillar is fluted. It was moved from the marketplace in 1921, where it was said to mark the spot where bulls were baited. The pillar is included for its group value.
