Description

St. Andrews Lodge is a house dating to the 17th century. It is situated on the west side of High Street, North Moreton. The lower right portion of the building has a painted brick base, while the left side is of painted rubble stone with brick dressings. The upper portion is timber-framed with painted brick infill, some laid in a herringbone pattern. The roof is of old plain tiles, with a brick ridge stack centrally placed. The house has an L-shaped plan, including a cross-wing to the left. It is two storeys high, with a three-window front. A plank door is positioned centrally, flanked by a 3-light metal casement window to the right and a 2-light wooden casement to the end of the cross-wing. A 9-pane window is located on the first floor centre, with a 3-light metal casement window to the right and end of the cross wing above. The gable ends contain queen-post roof trusses. The interior has not been inspected.
