Description
This urn and pedestal, located approximately 70 meters northwest of Nuneham House, likely dates from the early 19th century. The urn is made of terracotta and features a narrow stem, a gadrooned base, and two handles that emerge from horned masks. The square base of the urn is inscribed with "GRIMSLEYS TERRACOTTA OXFORD." The pedestal is constructed from limestone and has a moulded cap and base. This urn is a notable feature in the significant landscaped park and is included for its group value.
