Description
These are two houses, originally a single house, dating back to the 16th century, with later alterations. The exterior is rendered, although timber framing remains visible on the first floor of the right-hand side, filled in with render. The roof is covered in plain tiles, and there are brick stacks. The building is arranged in a U-shape.
The front has a single storey and an attic, with a three-window arrangement. A glazed plank door is located on the left-hand return of the right-hand cross-wing. There are six-light leaded casement windows to the centre, and to the end of the cross-wings both left and right. A jetty (an overhanging upper floor) projects from the first floor of the right-hand cross-wing. The right-hand cross-wing has a half-hipped roof with a six-light casement window in the gable end. A gabled dormer window sits centrally on the roof. A three-light casement window is located on the first floor of the left-hand cross-wing. A brick stack is positioned to the right of centre, while a stack on the left-hand return is made of 19th-century brick. The interior has not been inspected.
