Description

This stone, located at the junction of Marston Road and the footpath to Pullen's Lane, dates from around the 17th century. It is inscribed with the words 'esheding - ton way', although the remainder of the inscription is illegible. The stone stands on the line of the old City boundary and may be related to that boundary, which was in place before 1881.
