Description
Headington Hill Hall Lodge House is a lodge house built in the mid-19th century, likely designed by John Thomas for James Morrell. The building is constructed of ashlar stone with stone dressings and features a first-floor band. It has a hipped tiled roof with tall ashlar chimney stacks and projecting rafters at the overhanging eaves. The lodge house is two storeys high and has a symmetrical front with three windows, showcasing an Italianate style. The central entrance is adorned with a projecting bracketed hood. The windows on the ground floor are narrow, 2-light architraved sashes, while the first-floor windows are round-arched, flanked by pilasters with bracketed sills, and include a single light central window. The left side of the building has a canted bay window with a penthouse roof on the ground floor and a 2-light sash window above.
