Description
Magdalen College Chapel, located in the Great Quadrangle, was built between 1474 and 1480, with the ante-chapel facing St John's quadrangle. In 1790, the chapel was re-roofed by James Wyatt. It underwent restoration from 1829 to 1834 by L N Cottingham, and further work was done in the 19th century by G F Bodley. Notable features include 15th-century stalls and 17th-century stained glass. The buttresses on the south side were patched in 1910 using Pea Grit stone.
