Description

The Trout Inn is a building primarily from the 17th century, with some alterations and additions from the 18th century. It is located on the south side of Godstow Road and features a two-storey elevation made of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof and two stone-based end stacks.

On the south-facing side, the first floor has two central two-light wood mullioned and transomed windows, with a three-light similar window on each side. The ground floor also has two three-light windows with stone lintels on each side. At the back, to the north, there is a projecting stone wing, and to the west of the main range, there is another stone addition.

Inside, the building includes a stone fireplace and a 17th-century dado.
