Description

The Red Lion Public House, located at 130 Godstow Road, is a building that has mainly been rebuilt, featuring a yellow brick wing on the west side. It likely dates back to the 18th century and is constructed from coursed rubble with a stone slate roof. The building is single-storeyed and has three modern gabled dormers at the eaves level. The ground floor includes two modern stone three-sided bays, a modern casement window, and a modern doorway that is topped with a stone slated porch. At the rear, there is some ancient walling. Although it has undergone significant alterations, it is listed as Grade II due to its important position.
