Description
No 3 Turl Street is a house and shop that forms part of the Mitre Hotel. It dates from the 17th century and is a three-storey structure with roughcast timber framing and a gable, topped by a modern tiled roof. The first floor features three sash windows from the 18th to 19th century, while the second floor has two similar sash windows, all set in moulded wood frames with moulded cornices. In the gable, there is a three-light casement window also in a moulded wood frame with a moulded cornice. Beneath the house, there is a vaulted stone cellar dating from the 13th century.
