Description
Balliol College's Old Hall, now known as the New Library, and the Master's Lodging were built in 1485. Located on the west side of the Front Quadrangle, the Old Hall is constructed from Headington stone, with some recent plastic repairs on the east side and a partial refacing on the west side in Clipsham stone. The library underwent significant alterations in 1959, and the adjoining range to the south, originally the Old Buttery, is now part of the Master's Lodging.
