Description

No. 566 on Banbury Road is an early to mid-19th century building that was formerly a turnpike toll-house. It is constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and quoins. The building has two storeys and features three bays, with the central bay projecting as a half-hexagon. This central bay contains a door, while the other sides have windows. The windows are two-light mullion sash types, and the doorway has a four-centred arch, all topped with drip moulds. The roof is hipped and covered with slate.
