Description

St Peter's College Chapel, also known as the Church of St Peter-le-Bailey, dates back to 1485. It serves as the parish church of St Peter-le-Bailey and is used as the chapel for St Peter's College. The chapel was designed in the Gothic style by Basil Champneys in 1874. It is constructed partly from stone salvaged from the old church of St Peter, which was located at the southwest corner of New Inn Hall Street, and partly from Bath (Box Ground) stone. Inside, it features monuments and fittings from the previous church.
