Description

The gates and piers at Number 16, dating from 1485, feature stone moulded gate piers with a wrought iron gate and railings set on a stone base. There are moulded stone side piers, and both the central and side piers are topped with vases. In total, there are six piers with vases and two with ball finials. This structure is part of a group that includes Nos 1, 11 to 17 (consecutive), 19, 20, Black Hall, part of Queen Elizabeth House, and Nos 22 and 23.
