Description
Nos 1, 1A, and 2 Walton Street are a row of cottages that sit below the level of the road and are probably from the 18th century. They are two storeys high and constructed of coursed rubble, topped with a modern red tile roof and red brick stacks. Each cottage features a plain doorway with a small flat hood and a modern sash window with shutters on the ground floor. No 1 has wide glazing bars in moulded wood frames. No 2 includes an 18th to 19th century sash window on the first floor, a two-light sliding casement window, and a gabled attic dormer with a two-light casement window in the roof.
