Description
Nos. 2 to 63 on St John Street and No. 5 on Pusey Street were laid out as a unified terrace-type scheme around 1837, alongside Beaumont Street. The design is simpler compared to Beaumont Street. The buildings feature three-storey Bath stone fronts on brick, with cellars, a moulded cornice, and a small parapet. The sash windows are set in plain reveals, and some doorways are coupled with pediments. The windows have glazing bars, and some include cast-iron grilles. The doors are six-panel, with some having fanlights or rectangular lights above. Some roofs are not visible behind the parapets, while others are slate mansards. All the listed buildings on St John Street are part of a group.
