Description
Sparrowgap Bridge is a canal bridge located on the Oxford Canal in Thrupp, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring squared stone used for the piers and coping. The bridge has a stilted and keyed segmental arch, which is adorned with ashlar voussoirs. The Oxford Canal itself was completed in 1790.
