Description
The Boat Public House is a public house dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled concrete tile roof and brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. There are timber lintels above early 19th-century six-pane sash windows and a 20th-century two-light window in a blocked door to the left. To the right, there is a lower two-storey range with a hipped roof and a long rear wing. The front of this range features a two-window layout with timber lintels over a 20th-century door and casements. There is also a lateral external stack to the right, made of stone and finished in 19th-century brick. The first floor has not been inspected.
