Description

Barclays Bank, originally a house, dates from the 17th century and is located on the north side of High Street in Hook Norton. The building is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof with stone coping on the right side. It has two brick end stacks that sit on stone bases and have oversailing courses. The layout is a three-unit plan, with three three-light casements on the first floor. The ground floor includes a doorway to the house on the left and an entrance bay for the bank on the right. There are 20th-century replacement windows and doors, as well as two 20th-century attic dormers. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
