Description
The towpath bridge at Duke's Cut Lock, built in the late 18th century, is made of red brick with stone and blue-brick details. It features a depressed arch that springs from stone imposts and has a projecting half-brick band. The solid parapets have triangular blue-brick copings; on the west side, these terminate in brick piers with stone caps, while on the east side, they curve outwards and blend into the embankments. A cast-iron plate on the bridge displays the number 232.
