Description
Bishopsdale is a house that dates back to the 17th century or earlier, featuring a parlour wing from the 18th century. The building has been refronted in red brick on the ground floor and is hung with fishscale tiles on the first floor. It has a tiled roof topped with tall brick chimneystacks. The front elevation, which is an 18th-century addition, consists of two storeys and attics with three windows. The roof is half hipped and includes three hipped dormers. There are three 20th-century casement windows. The ground floor features two 20th-century bays connected by a tiled verandah supported by two elaborate wooden posts. Behind this, there is an earlier six-panelled door. The earlier rear wing has three 20th-century casements and a pentice. Additionally, there is a 19th-century two-storey extension at the angle of the left side. The interior has not been seen.
