Description

The Canon Hoare Memorial, located on the west side of St John's Road, was built in 1746 and is constructed from Tunbridge Wells stone. It features a square pillar with angle buttresses, topped with a crocket and four figures representing the Evangelists. The memorial includes an inscription honoring Edward Hoare, who served as the Vicar of Holy Trinity Church for nearly 41 years. He was born in 1812 and passed away in 1894.
