Description

The well and housing, located about 10 metres east of Well House, date from around 1846 to 1848 and are likely designed by R C Hussey. The structure features a Wealden sandstone base that supports timber framed housing topped with a plain tiled roof. Surrounding the well shaft is a low wall, approximately 2 feet high, which is square in plan. The corner piers of the wall support corner posts that are arched braced, carrying a small hipped roof. This building is part of the complex designed by R C Hussey, which includes the rebuilt church.
