Description
The Mount Pleasant Congregational Church and Lecture Hall, built in 1848, is constructed from Tunbridge Wells stone. The east end, which faces the street, features a narthex supported by six Tuscan columns topped with a pediment. Behind these columns are three round-headed doorways, with a blind round-headed arch on each side. The south side, which faces York Road, has six round-headed windows, each flanked by Doric half pilasters that support the cornice and parapet above.
