Description

This is a house dating from circa 1835, originally part of the Calverley Estate and designed by Decimus Burton. It is similar to other houses within Calverley Park, but with later 19th-century additions. The original section is two storeys high and constructed from local Tunbridge Wells stone, featuring a modillion eaves cornice. Six sash windows with missing glazing bars are present. A three-window bay extends across the west end of the front facade on both floors, topped with a pediment. A hooded verandah is situated on the ground floor. An east-facing extension, also of two storeys, was added in the late 19th century. This extension includes a bracket eaves cornice, oriel windows on the first floor, and sash windows on the ground floor, alongside a Tudor arch doorcase with a hood moulding.
