Description
The north west lychgate to the Chapel of Ease of St Luke is a lychgate likely built in the 1870s, around the same time as the chapel designed by Basil Champneys. It is constructed from timber and features a wooden shingle roof. The structure is supported by four posts with chamfered arch braces and curved braces at the base, which hold up a hipped roof with deep eaves on curved brackets. At the apex of the roof, there is a timber cross. The lychgate also includes a pair of rustic timber gates. This structure is included for its group value with the chapel.
