Description
The Chapel at Tonbridge School is a fine modern Gothic building constructed between 1900 and 1909, designed by architect Campbell Jones. It is built in the Perpendicular style using red brick, featuring a horizontal panel of chequered work in diamonds made of flints and stone above the ground floor. The building has seven large Perpendicular windows, each flanked by buttresses. It is topped with a slate roof and includes an octagonal shingled turret at the west end, which has an open work lantern surmounted by a copper ogee-shaped cupola. Additionally, there is a small gable below the lantern on both the north and south sides.
